so hello everybody and happy monday to this video im going to show you a very cool trick and it is how you can actually keep just the last record of a table for example lets say that you have a employees table where all changes for the employees are recorded like what jobs they have in the past or what sellers they have in the past so im going to show you how you can just keep the last record because thats the one probably that you need for your analysis so lets get started okay so i have here an employee table that as you can see the same person shows a few times because in this case this person changed his job and the same for katrina and from jerry so when youre doing the analysis and youre inputting this table you just want to have the last available record because that is the most recent one okay so how do you do that in power query obviously this is better if you do it in the source but if you cant this is a way so let me show you its actually a very cool and quick tric
