A paid time-off policy is a combination of days off that an employee can take while still getting paid. Each state has its own restrictions and requirements for PTO policies. A PTO policy should include paid and unpaid leave options, accrual and rollover details, PTO request procedures, and consequences for violation.
If changes (dates, times, leave types) need to be made, the time off request must be cancelled. Employees can cancel their own time off requests; supervisors should only cancel the request if the employee is unable to complete the cancellation.
If the request is approved, the hours will populate on your Kronos timecard. ➢ NOTE: The approved time off requests on your timecard can NOT be edited or deleted on the timecard.
