hi Im Mark Joseph Im going to explain to you how to remove any formatting symbols or unwanted characters in Microsoft Excel now sometimes when youre converting a document into Microsoft Excel you might get characters that might seem a little weird because Microsoft Excel didnt recognize the initial font so whether its from a formatting procedure or just an unrecognized character anytime you want to remove a particular item from Excel you highlight the cell that shows the character you want to remove you double click and then you simply use the backspace or the delete button to get rid of the character now lets suppose the item is in a text box like you see here you highlight the text box place the cursor right in back of the item you want to remove move and again use backspace or if you put the cursor in front of it use the delete button and thats how you get rid of unwanted characters and any formatting symbols that you might find in Microsoft Excel
