hi this is brannon with my service depot in this video well be going over how to properly delete customers in smart service before we begin though you may be asking how can there be a right or wrong way to delete customers deleting is just leaving isnt it and smart service answer to the latter question is not quite lets see why from the home screen Ill click contacts to open the search screen type in the name of the customer that I would like to delete and then click the customers name to open the customer record once the record is open Ill click delete customer and then yes on the warning prompt this takes me back to the search screen and when I click the f5 key on my keyboard the screen refreshes and we can see that the customer is gone so the customer is deleted then isnt it the answer again is not quite when you delete a customer and smart service that customer isnt so much deleted as it is hidden so long as the customer remains active in QuickBooks that same customer can be
