Yes, recommendation letters are completely confidential and students can NEVER view the contents of the letter. Once you upload a rec letter, its attached to the students profile and they can see their various rec letters listed under their Documents tab (within their Profile).
At least one should be from your current immediate supervisor. If this is impossible, a former supervisor is an appropriate substitute. Other alternatives include an indirect manager or a colleague. If three letters are required, it is usually okay for one to be from an academic source.
Speaking strictly as a matter of ethics, I would have to say no, it would not be unethical so long as you did not change any of the actual words (other than perhaps correcting their spelling) or change the meaning / intent of the letter.
