nothing download data and you have additional attributes you dont want so heres some census data and we can open the attribute table I downloaded these from the internet you can see that theres a ton of values here for all these counties and each of the variables then has some information at now I can go to the lab itself and take a look at the descriptions and itll open the table and I can then read the descriptive information the metadata that came with us and decide which of these variables I want in our case well just say we want the total population this DP 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 so we want to isolate that variable and get rid of all the other variables so how do you do that well one way would be to with the table open pick one of these right and then delete it so we wont go ahead and delete the field asks us if we want to delete that but we have so many variables to do that one by another you can see it got rid of that field would just be quite laborious luckily theres a tool that

Administrators cannot delete a Custom Field on the Contact object because it is referenced in a Criteria-Based Sharing Rule.
Go to Setup | Object and Fields | Object Manager | Lead.In Classic: Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
Deleted custom fields and their data are stored until your org permanently deletes them or 15 days has elapsed, whichever happens first. Until that time, you can restore the field and its data. For information on restoring deleted custom fields and relationships, see Manage Deleted Custom Fields.
Go to Setup | Object Manager | Click the fields Relationships option on the object | Click the Deleted Fields Button. From the Deleted Fields page we can either restore a field or permanently delete a field by clicking Erase. Click the Undelete action on the fields you wish to restore.
Permanently deleting a custom field also deletes all the data stored against that field. You cant undo this. If you want to keep field data for historical records, we recommend you back up your Jira site before permanently deleting fields. Learn more about backing up your Jira site.
When you delete a custom field, all of the field history data is deleted and changes are no longer tracked. A background process periodically runs that cleans up metadata associated with deleted custom fields.
Right-click on the custom field. Select Delete Field.
Once youve deleted a custom field, any associated data will no longer appear in your reports and the field will be removed as a filter option.
