The information matrix can be used to delete fields on the basic tables and master data information but you need to be aware of the process and what it actually deletes and doesnt delete. Ill show you an example of this. From the item menu, I have my City Bike, for instance, I can see my Routing Number 1,000. If I go into my specification, be aware that it has a gender which is male and it has wheel diameters of both inch and millimeters. Now, using my information matrix to delete some of that information, Ill show you how it works. So, I work only with item number 1,000. Ill scroll a little right and Ill delete the male which is a configuration value and Ill just delete it like this. And if I scroll further right, I might want to delete my wheel diameter in millimeter but its not an information value, its a value which means it only deletes the specific value and not the information code and I also want to delete my routing or just delete it in here. Step 1: Go to settings Customizations Go to Contact Entity Select Quick create from Add Jscript web resource on change of Age field. Heres how to delete custom contact fields: Mouse over Settings and select Custom fields in the menu. Please note: only admins can edit custom fields. If you dont see that option, youll need to contact an admin on your account. Select either Contacts or Companies depending on where the desired field is saved.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
To do this, I simply right-click on the field and select Personalisation from the menu. As the following screenshot shows, I can now tick the Required option. As shown below, the field is now mandatory (red and marked with an asterisks) when editing the record.
