in our previous video we covered adding a new field to the contract template in this video well cover removing a field from the contract template lets get started well go to the template builder choose the template we want to edit in this case the contract and notice that we have a selection of active fields available to us will locate the field that we would like to remove from the contract template and simply uncheck it system will ask you whether you truly want to delete the field will click ok and thats it that field has been removed any data thats been pre inserted into the field will be removed as well so do put pay particular attention to this and finally well just make sure that we save and update the template and thats it weve just deleted or removed a field from the contract template

First, if its a custom field and youre just trying to get rid of it, select Fields Relationships from the left-hand column. Then, find the field youd like to delete and click the menu arrow on the right-side of its row. Then select Delete from the drop-down menu.
Follow the steps below. Go to Settings -- Customizations. Click Customize the System. Under Components, expand Entities, and then expand the entity you want. Click Fields. Select the field you want to remove from the form (which is Business Required) Change the Field Requirement from Business Required to Optional.
Inorder to remove the standard field from view, Go to the fields which you want to hide and select there link and select the Set Field-Level Security button and uncheck the Visible checkbox for the profiles you do not want to see those particular fields.
Heres how to delete custom contact fields: Mouse over Settings and select Custom fields in the menu. Please note: only admins can edit custom fields. If you dont see that option, youll need to contact an admin on your account. Select either Contacts or Companies depending on where the desired field is saved.
Fortunately there is one way to do so with the help of Clone Solution feature. In the solution in the source environment, do all the necessary changes like removing dependencies, deleting the local optionset field, creating a global optionset and creating a new field in Account Entity to map to the global optionset.
Setup Customize Leads Page Layout Edit removes the fields from the Detail page layout.
Click on the gear icon then Setup Object Manager. Choose the object Fields Relationships. Select the custom field that you will make required. Click on Edit and under General Options select Required. Click on Save.
Go to Setup | Object and Fields | Object Manager | Lead.In Classic: Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
