To remove encryption from one or multiple files, make sure the volume is mounted to a drive. Once it is mounted, open the new drive located on the desktop and select the files you wish to no longer be encrypted, and move them to another location, in this case, the desktop. Close the window and dismount the drive by clicking dismount in the VeraCrypt window. Now close VeraCrypt. If you no longer wish to have your volume at all, move it to the trash bin and empty the trash. The files you moved from the drive will be exactly as you left them, except they will no longer be encrypted. You will now be able to open them without mounting the volume and entering your password.
