whats going on guys welcome to part two of the letter of recommendation series so the next thing I wanted to talk about was how should you be asking your letter writers for a letter of recommendation so when asking its important to specifically use the terms strong for example are you willing to write a strong letter of recommendation in support of my application by specifically requesting strong they will tell you if they if they do or do not feel comfortable to do so the last thing you want is a generic letter recommendation next youre going to be asking either in person or via email obviously in person would be better if youre seeing them on a fairly regular basis otherwise if meeting in person is not feasible I recommend sending an email theres a template that Im linked to in the comments so take a look at that and again be sure to use the word strong either in person or when you drive that email in the email offer to meet in person but dont be pushy about it it should be up
