Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Always wash hands and change gloves between preparing different menu items Clean and sanitize surfaces between every menu item: countertops, cutting boards, flat-top grills, etc. Always use clean kitchen tools for food preparation: pots, baking sheets, utensils, cutting boards, etc.
If you suspect you have a food allergy, avoid exposure to the food altogether until your appointment. If you do eat the food and have a mild reaction, nonprescription antihistamines may help relieve symptoms. If you have a more severe reaction and any symptoms of anaphylaxis, seek emergency help.
The only way to avoid an allergic reaction is to avoid the foods that cause symptoms. However, despite your best efforts, you may come into contact with a food that causes a reaction. For a minor allergic reaction, prescribed antihistamines or those available without a prescription may help reduce symptoms.
Run contaminated pots, pans, and utensils through a normal dishwasher cycle or wash them by hand with hot, soapy water and scrub the surfaces thoroughly. Use a sponge, scouring pad, or dish rag that has not come into contact with the allergen. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
Many studies have shown that if you wash your hands well with soap and water, as well as thoroughly clean the surface with detergent, you can effectively remove the allergen.
Soap and water and commercial wipes will eliminate food allergens, but water alone or sanitizing gels wont. Scrub down tables and counters with soap and water after cooking every meal. Never share food to ensure that cross-contact does not occur.
The short answer is no. Cooking (even when using really high heat) does not reliably destroy food allergen proteins.
Scraping food from surfaces before cleaning helped remove food allergens. Wet wipes/cloths and alcohol/disinfectant (quat) wipes worked better at removing allergens than dry cloths. If using alcohol/disinfectant wipes, a surface usually needs to be cleaned with more than one wipe.
