This video series covers using the Grad Schools template to format your thesis for dissertation. This video covers how to add or delete a page within the document. Use the High/Show button to see where the section and page breaks are within the document. Within the template, there two section page breaks. One at the end of the committee page and one at the end of the front matter. You will notice that before the Acknowledgements page, there are no page numbers. The rest of the front matter utilizes lowercase Roman numerals. At the beginning of the body or your first chapter, the page numbers change to Arabic numerals. This is possible because of those section breaks that are there. To insert a regular page break, toggle on the Show/Hide button if not already on. Place your cursor at the beginning of the page break of the page before where you need to add the new page. In the Insert tab, click the Page Break button. You now have a new blank page. You may also press Ctrl + A + A to select the worksheet. Next, click on the Home tab to open a new drop-down menu. Select Editing from this menu and click Clear to open up a further menu. Finally, choose Clear Comments from this menu to clear all worksheet comments.
From the list of notes list, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( ) to the right of a note, and then click or tap Delete note. From an open note, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( ) and then click or tap Delete note. Clicking or tapping the close icon ( X ) only closes the note and does not delete it.
Delete Comments from a Selected Range or the Entire Worksheet Click on the gray triangle at the top-left of the Excel application. This will select the entire worksheet (or you can use Control + A + A) Click the Home tab. In the Editing group, click on Clear. Click on Clear Comments.
To display all notes, go to the Review tab Notes Show All Notes. To move and resize any overlapping notes, right-click and select Edit Note, and the border of the note box will display sizing handles.
If you need to delete the note, right-click the cell and choose Delete Comment. If youre using Excel for Office 365, right-click the cell and choose Delete Note.
Right-click on the cell note or go to Review Notes. Then, select Edit Note. Excel also offers the option to Convert to Comments. To save, click outside the note box.
To delete all notes, select the whole worksheet by pressing CTRL + A on the keyboard. Then in the Menu, go to Edit Clear notes. As a result, all notes are deleted, and any black triangles in the upper right corners of cells will disappear.
