Paid time off (PTO) is a benefit an employer provides their employees that allows them to receive payment for the time they take off work for vacation, personal days, sick time and holidays. A companys PTO policies establish the guidelines that determine when and how an employee can receive payment for time off work.
Sign in to your Gusto account. On the Time Tracking tile on your dashboard, select which role youre clocking in for if you have multiple pay rates. Click Clock In on the Time Tracking tile on your Dashboard. Click Clock Out when your workday or shift is complete.
Click Request Time Off Select the day(s) for your requested time off. Full Days: 8 hours will be submitted for each business day (does not include weekends). Partial Days: A default amount of 8 hours will be entered for each date. Update this number as needed.
Click the Payroll section and select Payroll settings. Under the Pay Schedule section, click edit next to autopilot. Toggle to On or Off. Click Save.
On their Clockify profile page, theyll have the same Time Off option in the sidebar. Once they click on it and get to the Time Off page, they can click on the request button in the upper-right corner of the screen. Theyll get a request form to fill with the following information: The leave policy they want to use.
Click the Time Off tab on the left-hand side of your screen. If your company has multiple time off policies, click on the policy you wish to request time off from. If you need to request unpaid time off, and your company doesnt offer an unpaid time off policy, docHub out to your employer to record this.
