In this video tutorial, viewers will learn how to insert and format footnotes and endnotes, remove the footnote separator line, and convert footnotes to endnotes and vice versa. A footnote allows for additional information to be included at the bottom of the page or below the text, while an endnote appears at the document’s end or section’s end. To insert a footnote, click the desired location, then go to the References tab and select the footnotes group. Choose the display option, number format, and whether numbering should be continuous or restart in new sections/pages. After setting preferences, clicking insert will create a placeholder for the footnote content.
