When an employer says a position is on hold, it typically means that they are halting the hiring process for a period of time. This usually doesnt reflect on the candidates who are in consideration for the job, although there is the possibility that the hiring manager wants to start over with a new pool of applicants.
To access requisition templates, go to Admin Tools Recruit Requisition Templates.
A job requisition is a formal request recruiters or hiring managers fill out for their companys HR department to create a new position or to fill a job vacancy. A job requisition goes beyond just the job description and job title. A good job req also includes relevant information such as: hiring manager details.
The creation of requisitions is done via the Create Requisition button which is available in the Requisitions channel as well as in the Requisitions page. This button is available to users if they have been granted the appropriate permissions.
Job requisitions that are in an Open or Open Pending Re-Approval status can be placed in an On Hold status. Requisitions that are on hold are removed from career sites, Career Center, and agency portals, but are not removed from job boards.
Requisition Owners and Super Admins can perform this action. Navigate to the Hiring Plan dashboard: Click the 3 dots to the right of an open requisition. Select Put requisition on hold from the list of options.
