Click Inspect. It will start inspecting for specified elements. Once inspection is completed, ONLY click Remove All beside the item saying Document Properties and Personal Information. Clicking remove all on the other items will remove the track changes, comments, and other information.
Open Word and click File tab, then Options to open the Word Options dialog box. Click Trust Center first. Then click the Trust Center Settings on the right-sown corner to open the Trust Center dialog box. Next, clear the Remove personal information from file properties on save box.
Please try the following suggestion to hide the authors name and time stamp for comments: 1.In Word 2019/365, go to ToolsProtected Document. Under Privacy, check Remove personal information from this file on save. Click OK.
Click File Info Remove Personal Information. Click the Personal Information tab. Select the Remove these items from the document check box.
You can also click at the beginning of the text and Shift-click at the end of the text. Press Delete or Backspace on your keyboard.
Open the Microsoft Word file and click Tools. Click Options. Click the Security tab. Select Remove any personal information from file properties on save.
Click File Info Remove Personal Information. Click the Personal Information tab. Select the Remove these items from the document check box.
Anonymizing a Word document In the tabs at the top of the document window (Home, Insert, etc.), click Review - Protect - Protect Document. Check the box for: Remove personal information from this file on save Save the document.
Select the content you want Word to check for metadata. Generally, most want to remove personal information. If Word finds metadata, it will prompt you to Remove All. Once you click Remove All, it cannot be undone.
On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click the arrow below Delete, then click Delete All Comments in Document. To use Document Inspector to find remaining tracked changes, comments, and other information you may not want to share, on the Review tab, click Check for Issues, then Inspect Document.
