Removing Camera RAW XMP data Open the General tab. Select Metadata Filters and choose Remove Camera Raw fields from XMP. Use this feature to strip all Camera Raw metadata from the files processed in the channel. This removes all information contained in the Camera Raw namespace in the input file.
RAW rejects, on the other hand, can be deleted after satisfactory delivery of final products such as a wedding album or portrait canvas, etc. If the client never saw the photo in the first place, and the image is nearly identical to one of the keepers, then there's definitely no reason to keep them around permanently.
What is a RAW file? A RAW file is the uncompressed and unprocessed image data captured by a digital camera or scanner's sensors. Shooting in RAW captures a high level of image detail, with large file sizes and lossless quality.
So instead of deleting your raw file, keep hold of it. If you need to buy more drives, so be it. If you are positive that you'll never really want to prove authenticity in such situations, then perhaps you can consider using just the DNG format. But, ultimately, I do not recommend deleting your original raw files.
A RAW file is lossless, meaning it captures uncompressed data from your camera sensor. Sometimes referred to as a digital negative, you can think of a RAW file as the raw “ingredients” of a photo that will need to be processed in order to bring out the picture's full potential.
How to remove metadata from photos Navigate to the folder holding the images you want to edit. Select the file (or files) you wish to delete metadata from. Right-click and select Properties, then Details. Select Remove Properties and Personal Information. Click Create a copy with all possible properties removed.
A RAW file is uncompressed, unprocessed and undeveloped data recorded from the camera's image sensor. It has much more information than a regular JPEG file. The greater amount of image data makes for larger file sizes, and because that data is unedited, post-processing is required.
This is a good question. Make a totally NEW, virgin document in Photoshop, go to File Info, you see this: No EXIF data. Go to-extra, at the bottom you'll find a button for removing all metadata. I hope this will be so helpful to you.
One of the largest benefits of RAW is the ability to recover shadows and highlights in post-processing without bringing in the grainy noise usually associated with high ISO settings. RAWs are very forgiving if you have severely underexposed or overexposed areas.
There should be an option to Delete in the software used to transport.... Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button. , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options. Click the View tab. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
