To stop paying an employee, temporarily or permanently, you can change their employment status so they dont appear when you run payroll. The employees tax details, pay history, and Record of Employment information are stored making it easy to reactivate them at a later date.
1. In RUN Powered by ADP, from the Employees tab, select Directory. 2. From the Action Icon next to the employee you want to terminate, select Terminate Employee.
Go to Payroll, then Employees. Select the employees name. If the employee isnt on the list, select All employees from the Active Employees dropdown. Select the employee you want to delete.
Contact your former employer Contact your former employer or the companys human resources department. Ask them how you can obtain your previous pay stubs. If you need them by a certain date, ask them how long the request will take. In some cases, they may refer you to their payroll or accounting department.
You can edit an old pay stub the same way you edit recent pay stubs. However, doing so may alter the employees pay history, deductions, and so on. Hence, it would be best to consult the HR department to avoid legal issues.

If youve included the employee in a pay run, you cant delete them. Youll need to end their employment by adding a termination date for an employee with no final pay.
