hi guys in this video im going to show you how you can remove highlights and background colors from pasted text in microsoft word and im going to tell you three methods that you can use so as you can see i pasted this text from the internet and it has this blue background color on it and i want to remove it so the first method that im going to use is that i am going to highlight this entire text then on my keyboard im going to select control and space and there we have it the highlight is removed now this works in different versions of microsoft word im currently using microsoft word 2010 but it will also work in 2013 and 2016. and two other methods that i want to show you if that one that i just showed you didnt work you can highlight the entire text make sure youre on your home tab then you want to go to the paragraph section and you want to click this little paint pan and then you want to ensure that no color is selected and the other method that i want to show you is that y

Remove highlighting from part or all of a document Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select No Color.
Now, if you wish to make your document simple and clean, without any highlights, follow these steps: Select highlighted text by dragging your mouse over it. Click on the highlight option from the toolbar. When the color panel appears, choose None usually available at the top.
How to remove highlighted text in Google Docs: Open the Google Doc (if its not already open). Select the text you want to remove highlighting from (click and drag to select the text). Click the Highlight color button. Select None.
Turn off automatic highlighting Go to the Edit menu. Select Preferences. Click General. Under the My Preferences tab, remove the check on the Show ToolTips for clipped text box. Press OK.
You can both apply highlight and remove highlight using the Alt-Ctrl-H shortcut. Note that this shortcut only works with the currently selected default highlight color so you still have to first make sure the desired color has been selected, either via the Home tab or the Mini Toolbar.
Single-click on the area of highlighted text you wish to remove. A small toolbox will appear with two options, allowing you to change the color of your highlight or delete the highlight altogether. To remove your highlight, click the trash icon.

Look on the right to see if a comment has been linked to the highlighted text. If so, then the only way to remove the highlight is to resolve or delete the comment.
