hi my name is Justin Conway today Im going to talk about how to delete footers out of Microsoft Excel sometimes the footer can be hidden if youre in normal view in Microsoft Excel itll sort of hide the options that are available to you but there are various ways to get to them and Ill show you how so here I have a spreadsheet open then Im in normal view and so you cant see any footers here but if you go into view and select page layout itll now show you when you hover over the area theres your header and scroll down a little bit theres your footer if you double click in the footer if there were any text here lets just make an example real quick we can click out so now theres a footer we can just double click in there delete and your footers gone you can also in page four you use the sidebar here to make your foot or bigger or smaller if youd like to adjust that margin the other ways to go about finding your header and footer are to click on layout and you can click on that

If you want to add a header or footer to all sheets, select every sheet by right-clicking one of the sheet tabs at the bottom of the Excel screen and clicking "Select All Sheets" in the pop-up menu. It's fairly common to put an Excel header on all pages of all worksheets in your document.
On the Layout tab, under Page Setup, click Header & Footer. Click Customize Header, and then click the section of the sheet header in which the watermark appears. Select the watermark, and then press DELETE .
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout > Breaks > Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header & Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
Click the worksheet that is displayed with a sheet background. Make sure that only one worksheet is selected. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Delete Background.
Remove or adjust header or footer properties by section On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Double-click the header or footer you want to remove. On the right, click Options. Remove header or Remove footer.
Remove all headers and footers Go to Insert > Header or Footer, and then select Remove Header or Remove Footer. If your document has more than one section, repeat this process for each section.
Click or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Select Layout > Breaks > Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section.
Select the worksheets from which you want to remove a header or footer. Open the Page Setup dialog box (Page Layout tab > Page Setup group > Dialog Box Launcher). In the Page Setup dialog box, click the drop-down arrow to open the list of preset headers or footers, and select (none). Click OK to close the dialog box.
Headers and footers generally contain document information, such as the file name, author, date created, page numbering and the like. This information is repeated on each page and thus enables the reader to easily navigate the document.
Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header & Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections. Select Header or Footer and do one of the following: Choose Remove Header or Remove Footer near the bottom of the menu.
