Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. Click the area of highlighted text you wish to remove. This will create a blue outline around the text. A small toolbox will appear with three icons. Choose the third icon the trash symbol to remove the highlighted text.
Note: The areas highlighted in blue have been recognized as form fields. You need to examine the document carefully to verify that docHub detected the correct fields. You may need to change the field name(s), tab order, or add fields to suite your needs.
To edit a single form field, double-click it or right-click it and choose Properties. To edit multiple form fields, select the fields that you want to edit, right-click one of the selected fields, and choose Properties.
If you are not in the form editing mode, choose Tools Prepare Form. In the right-hand pane under Fields or the page view, select the form fields that you want to delete. Right-click and choose To delete, or choose Edit Delete.
Steps to Reset PDF Form Data Using docHub: Launch the docHub software, click on File, and select the PDF form you want to clear. Once the form opens, go to Tools and then select Prepare Form. Click on More in the right-hand pane and select Clear Form. Then, the PDF form data will be erased.
