If that fails, try this: Click the View tab from the Ribbon and select (check) the Navigation Pane in the Show section. Now, click on Pages, and select the blank page thumbnail in the left panel. Press your Delete key until it is removed.
Edit or Delete Resume Sections Select About Me and then select Resume. From Add or Update Sections, select Edit or Remove for the entry to update. Update the information and click Save. Click Remove to confirm you want to delete the section.

A functional resume is a type of resume format which showcases skills over experience. The purpose of a functional resume is to draw attention to transferable abilities rather than focusing on a chronological overview of your work history. Because of its properties, its sometimes called a skills-based resume.
From the ribbon, select Home, followed by Show/Hide . This shows all the invisible formatting of your document, including the section breaks. Locate the section break that you want to remove, and select it by placing the mouse cursor before the break. Once selected, hit Delete on your keyboard.
CTRL-SPACE removes character-level formatting from the selected text (fonts, italics/bold, font size, etc.) but leaves paragraph formatting (indents, line spacing, etc.) intact. CTRL-Q leaves fonts and other character formatting intact but reverts paragraph-level formatting to Normal Style of current document.
One of the easiest options is to manually highlight the whole page and either press the Delete or Backspace key. These buttons remove the content from the page. Once you delete the content, make sure your cursor is at the very top of the blank page.
