You can delete validation rules in the same way as normal assets. You cannot delete a validation rule if it is assigned to an asset type.
A validation rule is executed only on INSERT and UPDATE operation, not on DELETE.
So, to deactivate validation rules before migration to Salesforce, go through the following steps: From the Setup, go to Object Manager and choose the relevant object. In the left sidebar, click Validation Rules. Click Edit from the drop-down menu. To deactivate the rule, deselect Active, and save your changes.
In the Rules field, click the Browse button to open the Validation Rules dialog box. Define the Condition, Value, and Error Message for each validation rule that you create, and arrange the rules in the order that you want them to be performed.
Remove data validation Click the control whose data validation you want to remove. On the Format menu, click Data Validation. In the Data Validation dialog box, click the condition that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
Deactivating Validations Choose Setup Validations. Choose the Validation tab. Choose Edit. Expand the validation nodes in the Short Name column. For all validations you want to deactivate, deselect the checkbox in the Enable Validations column. Save your entries.
The validation function enables you to check values and ranges of values as they are being entered in the SAP system. Validation rules are stored in the Rule Manager. As data is entered into the system, the Integration Manager validates the data against the validation rules.
Select the node of the required validation. The Change Validation: (Header data) screen appears. Choose Validation Delete . A dialog box appears, asking if you want to delete the validation.
