Validation Rules Navigate to Setup Object Manager. Select the object that contains the validation rule you want to disable and click Validation Rules. Select the relevant validation rule and click Edit. Uncheck the Active checkbox and click Save:
From the management settings for the object whose field history you want to stop tracking, go to Fields. Click Set History Tracking. Deselect Enable History for the object you are working withfor example, Enable Account History, EnableContact History, Enable Lead History, or EnableOpportunity History.
So, to deactivate validation rules before migration to Salesforce, go through the following steps: From the Setup, go to Object Manager and choose the relevant object. In the left sidebar, click Validation Rules. Click Edit from the drop-down menu. To deactivate the rule, deselect Active, and save your changes.
Validation rules cannot be used to hide / unhide other fields. You would need to turn to Visualforce for that type of requirement. You could use a validation rule to prevent modifications of the field when the checkbox is not checked.
Select the node of the required validation. The Change Validation: (Header data) screen appears. Choose Validation Delete . A dialog box appears, asking if you want to delete the validation.
If you would like to set up an exclusion please follow the following steps: Go to Salesforce Setup and search for Duplicate Rules or go find the validation rule you wish to edit in your Object Manager. Click into the specific Duplicate Rule / Validation Rule you would like to add an exclusion for. Click Edit.
A validation rule is executed only on INSERT and UPDATE operation, not on DELETE.
Remove data validation Click the control whose data validation you want to remove. On the Format menu, click Data Validation. In the Data Validation dialog box, click the condition that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
