If you have a dependent drop-down list like I have right here, in the first list, Im gonna select instead of Productivity, Im gonna select the Game Div. Now notice the value inside my dependent list, the value in the cell doesnt reset. I still see WenCal. Now WenCal here belongs to the productivity division, I should see a value that is under Game Div, but once I activate the list, so when I click here, then I see the correct list. I see Fightrr, Kryptis, which are the apps that belong to the game division. Now again, if I select Fightrr and then I switch to Utility, I still see Fightrr until I click here and then I select an app from this list. Remove data validation Click the control whose data validation you want to remove. On the Format menu, click Data Validation. In the Data Validation dialog box, click the condition that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
Go to Data Data Validation. On the Settings tab, click in the Source box, and then change your list items as needed.
Remove data validation - Select the cell or cells that contain the validation you want to delete, then go to Data Data Validation and in the data validation dialog press the Clear All button, then click OK.

You will have to write an Apex trigger to prevent deletion of ContentDocument (file) records. Validation rules cannot prevent record deletion, and you currently cannot use Flow on the ContentDocument object.
To quickly remove data validation for a cell, select it, and then go to Data Data Tools Data Validation Settings Clear All.
Select the cells with the drop-down list. Click Data Data Validation. On the Settings tab, click Clear All. Click OK.
