Hello! This is Alex Gorzen from Liquid Web with our video on deleting fields in database tables with phpMyAdmin. The scope of information needed in a table can change overtime and you may find that you no longer want a whole column of data. Removing a column from a table can help get rid of unwanted content, like if a project or product is no longer needed, to help free up disk space on a server, to clean up any empty or unused columns, or even just remove data that may have been duplicated. Removing a column is quick and easy to do in Phpmyadmin. Starting on the main page of phpMyAdmin here, click on the name of the database that the table that needs to be modified is in, then click on the table name. We can see the existing columns in my test table here, and this last column is called testnew. To remove it, click on the Structure tab up near the top. Again this shows the existing column fields, so click on the check box next to one or more fields that should be removed from the

Click the Attributes tab to show the attribute fields for the selected features. To edit a selected attribute in an attributed relationship table, click the Attributed Relationship tab. You can completely delete any custom field along with its values from the account, including any account-level field that isn't shared with you in the Account Management section.
You can't delete a field if that field is being updated by a background job, such as an update to a roll-up summary field. Wait until the background job finishes, and then try again. When you delete a custom field, all of the field history data is deleted and changes are no longer tracked.
From the management settings for the field's object, go to Fields. Click Del next to the name of the field. When prompted, select the Yes, I want to delete the custom field checkbox to confirm, and click Delete.
Delete a field from the Fields view From the layer's item page, click the Data tab to show the table. If your hosted feature layer contains more than one sublayer, choose the sublayer you want to alter from the Layer drop-down menu. Check the check box next to the field you want to delete. Click Delete.
From the Tools menu, choose Data Editor. In the Actions column next to the table you want to edit, click the Edit icon. This displays the Table Configuration opened to the General tab. Click the Fields tab.
Remove the column in Datasheet view Right-click the header row of the column that you want to remove. Click Delete Field on the shortcut menu. Click Yes to confirm the deletion. Save your changes.
