You can add a new item together with a new bibliographic and holdings record. To add a new physical item to the inventory: From the Choose Holdings Type dialog box (Resources Create Inventory Add Physical Item), select the New option. Select the Citation Type (Book or Article) and select Choose.

Change a Work Order Status On the Alma Home Page, click on Items - In Department under Tasks. Alternately, you can get to this same menu by choosing Manage In Process Items from the Alma menu. You can narrow down the list by choosing the type of work order status you are interested in.
Deleting Items in Alma Search for the item in Alma using the Physical titles search in the institution zone. Once the record has been located, in the Physical tab, select the Items link. With the item(s) on the screen, click on the ellipse next to the item to be deleted and select Withdraw.
When you edit an item, you can choose a work order type and department for the item as part of the item record. Perform a physical item search for the item. Select the ellipsis Edit Item. In the Process type field, select the work order type. Adjust the work order department in the At field as needed.
Adding an Item Record from a Repository Search: Perform a Physical Title repository search for the title. Click Items from the ellipses. Click Add Item. Physical Item Editor Opens. New item record has been added to the title. Click Back (or List of Items)
Locate which item you want to mark missing and click the row actions menu (ellipsis). Click Toggle Missing Status in the action menu. This will change the Status to Item not in place and the Process Type to Missing. You are done.
