It is now possible to automatically delete contacts using HubSpot workflows. For example, to stay in compliance with GDPR laws, you can now create a workflow that enrolls any inactive contacts and automatically deletes them from your CRM.
You can use the recycle bin to restore contacts, companies, deals, tickets, products, and custom object records up to 90 days after they were deleted. You can also view when a record was deleted, and which user deleted it. Please note: users need Account access and add and edit users permissions to use the recycle bin.
To restore a deleted contact, company, or deal: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts, Companies, or Deals. Click the Actions dropdown menu in the upper right, then select Restore contacts/companies/deals.
When you delete a contact, it permanently deletes it from your device. If you delete a contact from your email account, you also permanently delete the contact from all devices signed into that email account. To delete a contact: Open Contacts and tap the contact that you want to delete. Tap Edit.
Permanently delete this contact and all its associated content to follow privacy laws and regulations: the contact will be permanently deleted and youll be unable to restore it. To send confirmation that the contact was deleted, select the Email proof of deletion checkbox and enter the recipients email.
