your graduation Year from your resume okay okay okay okay here are my thoughts before you go running to your resume and deleting your graduation year first of all just know that all resume advice is subjective if you want to keep your graduation year on your resume thats why most people have it okay now that thats out of the way I hear my thoughts on this kind of love this you guys already know that I only really care about resume tips that reduce your chances of getting discriminated against and I kind of love this because its true your graduation year whenever you tell somebody the year you graduated you can just see them doing the math in their head but its not actually necessary for them to know when you graduated so I I approve but let me know what you guys think

The start date is when you started working, and the end date is your last date of employment with a company. Use the month-year format. For those who have gaps in employment due to higher studies, marriage, illness or maternity leaves, you can simply list the years of employment.
Describe your responsibilities in concise statements led by strong verbs. Focus on those skills and strengths that you possess and that you have identified as being important to your field. Try to incorporate industry specific key words.
Specify the dates of employment Exact dates are not necessary. This is typically right-justified beside your job title or company name, though it can also be placed under your job title. If you are still currently working for your most recent job, rather than an end date, you would simply put the word present.
To achieve this on LinkedIn, go to your profile and then edit your Education section. Select the option in the drop-down box for your start and finish dates. Eliminate dates from other sections as well.
To Punctuate, or Not to Punctuate? There is some debate on whether or not bullet points should end in a period. However, the general consensus recommends including a period if youve phrased all your achievements as complete sentences. If not, its okay to opt out of the dot.
If the text of your bullet point is a complete sentence (or multiple sentences), use capital letters and punctuation. If your points are not structured as proper sentences, you dont need to end with punctuation.
Add a job description to the top half of the first page on your resume. Include a suitable amount of relevant experiences. Begin each description with essential information about the job and company. Emphasize accomplishments over work duties.
If you really want to leave dates off of your resume, its best to use a functional resume format. A functional resume focuses on your professional skills, rather than listing your employment in a chronological order.
