your graduation Year from your resume okay okay okay okay here are my thoughts before you go running to your resume and deleting your graduation year first of all just know that all resume advice is subjective if you want to keep your graduation year on your resume thats why most people have it okay now that thats out of the way I hear my thoughts on this kind of love this you guys already know that I only really care about resume tips that reduce your chances of getting discriminated against and I kind of love this because its true your graduation year whenever you tell somebody the year you graduated you can just see them doing the math in their head but its not actually necessary for them to know when you graduated so I I approve but let me know what you guys think

An omission of all dates will not raise questions about job gaps but will make the hiring manager wonder how much experience you have and whether you have been working recently. You have taken the correct approach in omitting your graduation year and excluding earlier experience.
If you fudged employment dates on your resume by more than a couple of weeks or if youre worried at all about being caught you can: Update your resume and resend it. This is usually the best option; you can simply say that you caught a small mistake on your resume and wanted to send a corrected version.
When building your resume, dates can be an essential element that shows hiring managers how many years of experience you have. They can also tell employers how recently you graduated, how long youve been an active member of an association or how long youve held a relevant certification.
Why Fudging Employment Dates Is a Bad Idea. Despite many applicants lying on their resume and the perceived insignificance of a minor lie such as changing employment dates, you should still avoid it at all costs. In general, this can have a waterfall effect that trickles into other aspects of your life.
Create a functional resume instead. If you really want to leave dates off of your resume, its best to use a functional resume format. A functional resume focuses on your professional skills, rather than listing your employment in a chronological order.
Right aligning dates on your resume is common practice, and for good reason. For instance, placing dates on the left infers that you are putting too much emphasis on the time and not where you worked or the job position you held at the time. Hiring managers want to skim your years of experience.
