Data Purging vs Data Deletion While data purging is permanent and irreversible, data deletion can be a temporary measure. This depends on the method of deletion, such as deleting data from one app but leaving a backup elsewhere.
To delete a customer, go to Customer tab Customer List search for the customer and click on the customer you want to delete. Once you are in the customer profile, go to the bottom left corner. Click on Delete. If the customer has any historical data, you are not able to delete them, you can only make them inactive.
Purging is the process of freeing up space in the database or of deleting obsolete data that is not required by the system. The purge process can be based on the age of the data or the type of data.
1. Check the Submit option next to the transactions you want to resubmit or choose Resubmit All from the Special menu. If you have many transaction to resubmit, use the Resubmit All option to select all transactions for processing and then selectively deselect individual transaction you do not want to resubmit.
How to purge customer interface tables once the customer data is processed. Content (required): On Accounts Receivable module, under billing tab, if you go to Manage Data Import, we see the customer data upload batches which are in completed status, we can select a batch ID then go to action to purge the batch.
How You Delete Pending Transactions On the Manage Pending Transactions page, click the View Pending Transactions button. On the View Pending Transactions page, search for the records that you want to delete. Select each transaction row that you want to delete. Click the Delete icon.
On the Workflow tab, under System Maintenance Tasks, select Purge All Imported Data. From the POV bar, and then Location, select the location associated with the data to be purged. Click Execute.
