In general, your MOU would start out with a title, such as: Memorandum of Understanding Between Jane Smith and John Doe, with each partys address and the date of the agreement, followed by numbered sections that include: the purpose of the agreement. a description of the agreement including all the terms.
Sample Memorandum of Understanding Template. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sets for the terms and understanding between the (partner) and the (partner) to (insert activity). This MOU is at-will and may be modified by mutual consent of authorized officials from (list partners).
Either Party may terminate this MOU upon 30 days written notice to the other Party if it determines that it is no longer feasible to continue with the collaboration. Every memorandum of understanding template will be slightly different, but there are a few basic elements that you should include. The organisations involved in the partnership. Typical Format of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Title. Authority. Purpose of the Agreement. Name of parties involved. Detailed Description of Roles and Responsibilities. Payment Schedule if Applicable. Duration of the Agreement. Modification or Termination. Signatures of Parties Principals.
The Cancellation Process Both parties should agree to cancel the MOU in writing. Any remaining obligations should be fulfilled, including the return of any documents, equipment, or money that both parties may have exchanged. Both parties should sign a cancellation document to end the MOU officially.
If either Party has failed to comply with the terms of this MOU, either Party may, upon thirty (30) days prior written notice to the other Party, terminate this MOU. The notice of termination shall state the reason(s) for the termination and the effective date.
