On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click the arrow below Delete, then click Delete All Comments in Document.
What if track changes isnt available? If a document is protected, you might not have the option to turn off track changes or turn it on so you can make some edits. If this happens, you might be able to get the option back by turning off document protection.
If the changes have not truly been resolved (individually or collectively accepted or rejected), then the problem is related to the view changing from Final to Final Showing Markup when the document is reopened.
Click the Review tab on the Ribbon. Click the down arrow on Track Changes Track Changes to turn it on or off. Track Changes: On or Track Changes: Off will display on the status bar (bottom bar in the document.) If this is not showing, right-click the status bar, and check Track Changes.
Revise the document, and save it by going to File and clicking on Save. Print out a copy of the revised document showing the tracked changes. Hide the tracked changes by going to View and clicking on Markup. Print a clean copy of the document.
If you applied strikethrough via a shortcut or cell format, then press Ctrl + 5 again, and the formatting will be gone.
