whats up youtube matthew here so i recently deleted my stash app and sold off my entire portfolio within stash if you dont know what stash is it is basically think of it like robinhood but a cheaper and discounted robin hood except its not really cheaper or discounted because you have to pay a monthly subscription for a stash whereas robinhood is completely free i mean like honestly stash is garbage just utter garbage i would not recommend it for anyone getting into investing even though they both follow the same concept of being able to own micro shares of a stock which means if you want to buy five dollars of tesla if you want to buy five bucks of amazon and you dont have the money to buy a whole share you could put in five bucks two bucks however much amount and buy micro shares of that stock its a pretty good like its a pretty good innovation within investing and it gives a lot of room for new investors people with not a lot of money young adults people who are just starting

If an individual wants to end their option agreement, they can do so through option surrender. This is usually used when the individual doesnt want to exercise their option anymore, or when the property has been sold. Once the agreement is signed, the individual wont have any rights under the option agreement.
It will lose much of its value if you cant buy, sell, or exercise your option before its expiration date. An option contract ceases trading at its expiration and is either exercised or worthless.
Out-of-the-money options perform better with a substantial increase in the price of the underlying stock; however, if you expect a smaller increase, at-the-money or in-the-money options are your best choices. Bullish investors must have a good idea of when the stock will hit their target pricethe time horizon.
An investor with a call option that is in the money (ITM) at expiry has a chance to make a profit since the market price is above the strike price. An investor holding an in-the-money put option has a chance to earn a profit since the market price is below the strike price.
On the positive side, OTM options offer great leverage opportunities. If the underlying stock does move in the anticipated direction, and the OTM option eventually becomes an in-the-money option, its price will increase much more on a percentage basis than if the trader bought an ITM option at the onset.
You can buy or sell to close the position prior to expiration. The options expire out-of-the-money and worthless, so you do nothing. The options expire in-the-money, usually resulting in a trade of the underlying stock if the option is exercised.
ADVANTAGES OF TRADING OTM OPTIONS Out of the money options typically have the largest percentage gain when the price of the underlying asset moves, which makes them more attractive to speculators than ATM or ITM options. Out of the money options have the cheaper premiums when compared with ATM and ITM options.
Because ITM options have intrinsic value and are priced higher than OTM options in the same chain, and can be immediately exercised. OTM are nearly always less costly than ITM options, which makes them more desirable to traders with smaller amounts of capital.
