Edit cross-references Do any of the following: Choose Type Hyperlinks Cross References Cross-Reference Options. In the Cross-References section of the Hyperlinks panel, double-click the cross-reference you want to edit. Select the cross-reference, and choose Cross-Reference Options from the Hyperlinks panel menu.
You can update cross-references manually by pressing Ctrl + A to select all and then pressing F9. Cross-references will also be updated when you switch to Print Preview or when you print (if the Word option Update fields before printing is turned on).
Choose Type Hyperlinks Cross-References Insert Cross-Reference. Choose Window Type Tables Cross-References, and then choose Insert Cross-Reference from the panel menu. Click the Create New Cross-Reference button in the panel.

Only Cross Reference on the same document: Linked cross-references can only be used within the same PDF file. It is recommended that you close any other PDF files or start a new instance of docHub before adding cross-references. The maximum number of cross-references is 40.
