Hello everybody! This video will show you how to recover lost or deleted photos in the RAW format. An image in the RAW format is a photo saved by a camera to a memory card with minimal processing. Though RAW images seem to be common knowledge, RAW is a kind of a generalized name for a large group of formats meaning unprocessed pictures, but every camera manufacturer actually has their own RAW format. For example, they are: .raw, .rw2 Panasonic .crw, .cr2 Canon .mrw Konica .mrw Minolta .orf Olympus .arw, .srf, .sr2 Sony .dcr, .kdc Kodak .nef, .nrw Nikon .ptx, .pef Pentax .raf Fujifilm .srw Samsung .raw, .rwl, .dng Leica Also, .bay Casio .x3f Sigma .ari, .dpx Arri .erf Epson .3fr Hasselblad .mef Mamiya .r3d Red One .dng in docHub software. So in this video well talk about recovering photos in these formats. In fact, recovering RAW pictures is a very wide topic. But in this video well go into detail on recovering RAW files which were lost or delet

If a client were to show these unedited or unretouched images to family and friends, it could severely harm the photographer's reputation. A professional artist only displays their best work. Having raw, unfinished photos represented to others as their work could make a photographer look unprofessional and incompetent.
Editing raw files is a two-stage process because raw files must first be converted into an editable format (either JpeG or TIFF), zo raw file shooters must make sure any raw conversion software or image-editing application they buy supports the raw images from the camera(s) they plan to use.
How to Delete Raw Files from Apple Photos Select the photo for which you want to delete the raw file. Choose File > Export > Export 1 Photo. ... Next, delete the photo from your Photos library. ... Finally, re-add the exported JPEG by dragging it onto the Photos window.
Removing Camera RAW XMP data Open the General tab. Select Metadata Filters and choose Remove Camera Raw fields from XMP. Use this feature to strip all Camera Raw metadata from the files processed in the channel. This removes all information contained in the Camera Raw namespace in the input file.
Convert your file Open the photos in RAW format, e.g. in Photoshop. Go to 'File' and choose 'Save As' and select from the list '. jpg' (it might appear as JPEG). Choose a compression between 90-100%, otherwise this leads to loss of quality.
So instead of deleting your raw file, keep hold of it. If you need to buy more drives, so be it. If you are positive that you'll never really want to prove authenticity in such situations, then perhaps you can consider using just the DNG format. But, ultimately, I do not recommend deleting your original raw files.
They are Unfinished Images. RAW files are unedited and therefore are not an accurate representation of your work or your brand. If you are taking on clients, it is vital that you deliver to them only your very best work.
BOTTOM: The edited version of the same image. Since RAW files are merely raw materials that photographers use along with digital image editing to create beautiful images, handing out unedited images will give clients and anyone else they allow to view the photos an inaccurate picture of your talents and unique style.
A RAW file is lossless, meaning it captures uncompressed data from your camera sensor. Sometimes referred to as a digital negative, you can think of a RAW file as the raw “ingredients” of a photo that will need to be processed in order to bring out the picture's full potential.
RAWs give you more information to work with, but you have to put more time into that work. If speed is of the essence, or you want a point-and-shoot experience that yields photos ready to use out of the box, JPEGs might actually be a better option than RAWs.
