Lets look at deleting content. Content you really dont need at all can be permanently deleted very easily. Next to the contents name is this upside-down triangle and at the bottom is the option to delete it. When deleting topic items you are presented with the option to remove them only, or to permanently delete them. The second option will permanently remove the content from your course.
