here are four things you should know about vacation time in the Army every month you get 2.5 leave days in the Army which is a total of 30 per year number two you usually get blocked leave two weeks in the summer and two weeks in the winter which is holiday block leave which is usually during Christmas time and New Years time number three you can save your leave days instead of taking those blocked lead days and save it for later on which is what I do when I PCS which is permanent change of station and I at least do 30 days and still get paid number four which is amazing if Im sick I dont have to use my vacation days if Im actually sick I have to go to the doctor get a note and then I can stay home what do you do when youre on leave and still getting paid

Per DoDI 1327.06, commanders and MTF directors may grant convalescent leave (non-chargeable) to Service members for their treatment and recuperation from sexual assault based on a recommendation of a medical or mental healthcare provider or sexual assault medical forensic examiner.
Can they stop me from submitting my leave? Leave is a Commanders program. The Command cannot stop you from formally requesting leave. If you request leave and it is denied, ensure you keep the leave request form showing it was denied for your records.

While annual leave does need to be taken at a time that has been agreed to by the employer, once the period of leave has commenced an employer does not have a unilateral right to recall an employee from annual leave.
