When you delete a comment from a post on your Page, the comment will be removed from the post. If you choose to hide a comment, the comment will only be visible to the person who wrote it and their friends.
You can only delete posts that you have made. If the Delete option doesnt appear, then you are trying to delete someone elses post, which is not possible.
Of course, you can only delete posts you have created yourself you dont have the power to delete something that was posted to Facebook by someone else. But if you dont like a post that youre tagged or mentioned in, you could ask the person who created it to edit or delete it.
On your own Instagram posts, you can delete both your and other peoples comments. On other peoples posts, you can only delete comments that youve written.
The Edit General Comment window opens. Make the necessary edits. Comments are editable until you click Send (workflow BP) or Finished Editing (non-workflow BP). From the General Comments window, select the comment to delete and click the Remove button. Draft comments can be edited before sending a BP.
On your own Instagram posts, you can delete both your and other peoples comments. On other peoples posts, you can only delete comments that youve written.
The owner of the account, page or group makes the rules on how comments are handled. You can only edit your own, and if an Admin has subsequently switched off comment editing (perhaps to block trolling) you cant do that either.
To delete a comment from a post on your profile: Go to the post that has a comment you want to delete. Below the comment you want to delete, tap More, then select Delete. Tap OK.
