One way to maintain code relevance is by identifying and deleting unused code. This can streamline our codebases, making them easy to maintain, and can improve our ability to deliver commercial benefit to the organization. We come across examples of unused code, often not realizing it.
Let's try to understand the code: Specify the URL and set up CloseableHttpClient object. ... Create a basic Delete Request and pass the resource URI to it. ... Submit the Request using HttpDelete -> Execute method. ... Create a BufferedReader object and store the raw Response content into it.
As per the REST design, GET is to read , PUT or POST are to create or update based on scenario , DELETE is to delete the resources. But technically, Can't we perform a create or delete operation in GET call.
You can also right-click on the code to be deleted and select Delete Code or Delete Code Incl. Subcodes from the context menu. Alternatively, you can also select a code with the left mouse button and then press the Del key (Windows) or the Delete key (Mac).
Open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Tap and hold the desired entry; then, hit Delete (the trashcan icon)
Browsers do support PUT and DELETE but it only by using request via AJAX, but not via 'HTML form' submission. In both HTML4 and HTML5 spec, it says that the only HTTP methods that HTML form element should allow are "GET" and "POST". There is no clear reason why PUT and DELETE are not supported by 'HTML form'.
If a DELETE method is successfully applied, there are several response status codes possible: A 202 ( Accepted ) status code if the action will likely succeed but has not yet been enacted. A 204 ( No Content ) status code if the action has been enacted and no further information is to be supplied.
207: Multi-Status The 207 Multi-Status status code provides status for multiple independent processes and used by WebDAV servers. The default message/response is a text/XML message. It indicates that multiple operations have taken place and that the status for each operation can be viewed in the body of the response.
The HTTP DELETE method is used to delete a resource from the server. Unlike GET and HEAD requests, the DELETE requests may change the server state. Sending a message body on a DELETE request might cause some servers to reject the request. But you still can send data to the server using URL parameters.
Deleting Google Authenticator Access the Google Authenticator app in the device you wish to unlink. Click the pencil icon (Top right) Select which you wish to remove. Then click delete (bottom of screen) This message will display. Click Remove Account.
