What is an excluded inventions disclosure?

Excluded Invention means any Invention listed on Exhibit A of this Agreement that existed prior to Employees employment by the Company and would be a Subject Invention if such Invention was or is made during Employees employment by the Company.

Should I disclose prior inventions?

You should disclose an invention as soon as it is deemed an invention. Even if a patent application never gets filed, an invention disclosure can often offer the invention some protection against other patent applications.

Can my employer take my invention?

The general rule is that you own the patent rights to an invention you create during the course of your employment unless you either: signed an employment agreement assigning invention rights, or. were specifically hired (even without a written agreement) for your inventing skills or to create the invention.

Does my employer have rights to my intellectual property?

Can my employer take my patent?
