Brandt was seething with anger on Wednesday he was already at the end of his rope a customer with an order about to be delivered called they wanted 50% of the goods delivered in sacks instead of in big bags production wasnt set up for this

In the Organization-Wide Defaults section, click Edit. Find the Price Book object and set the Default Internal Access to View Only. (Notice the other objects for which you can customize the default internal access.) Click Save .
Once a contract is activated, the contract status cannot be changed back to draft.
If your product or price book is used on an opportunity, quote, or order, you have three options. Deactivate it by editing it and then deselecting the Active field. Remove the related product or price book from all opportunities and quotes. Archive the product or price book and each related price book entry.
Click on the Contracts tab in the header pane to open the contract list view page. Enable the check box beside the Contracts Name to be deleted. Click on Delete. A pop up window confirming the delete operation appears. Click Yes to proceed. The contracts is deleted from the list.
I got the solution to this, we need to remove the Quote value from the Order record. Then we can deactivate the ORDER and then delete the record.
Set List Prices Select a product. On the product detail page, click Edit from the Price Books related list next to the custom price book that will contain the list price. Enter the list price. Select Active to make this price available to products on opportunities or quotes. Save your changes.
Answer. Once a Product or Price Book is associated with an Opportunity or a Quote, you cannot delete it.
Archive Price Book Go to the Price Book you want to Archive. Click on Archive button. This loads a confirmation page with a warning You cant retrieve a price book once its been archived. If you agree to the same, click Archive
