One way to add color to a README is by utilising a service that provides placeholder images. This issue was raised in GitHub markup #369, but they havent made any change in the decision since then (2014). You cannot color plain text in a GitHub README.md file.
Markdown doesnt allow you to change the color of text, but if your Markdown processor supports HTML, you can use the HTML tag. The color attribute allows you to specify the font color using a colors name or the hexadecimal #RRGGBB code.
By using CSS styles, you can change the background color of markdown cells to any color you like. You can also define styles in a code cell and reference them in your markdown cells. With these tips, you can create documentation that is not only informative but also visually appealing.
In Markdown, any text inserted between the two equal symbols (==) appears as the text highlighted in yellow at the output. The two equal symbols should appear at the beginning and at the end. Otherwise, the output may not be the desired highlighted text.
In Markdown, highlights are used to emphasize important words. Parts of the text appear in a yellow background after being inserted between two pairs of equal signs ( == ). Note: This feature is not offered in all markdown processors. Use the HTML tag as an alternate way to highlight text.
