foreign and welcome to the new episode of the dark table once more I have decided to postpone my small series about color harmonies because we have one quite important topic that I would like to address today and that is tone equalizer many users have complained about complexity of that module and have difficulties to understand how to set it up and to use it so letamp;#39;s talk about that today tone equalizer is one of the tone mappers which can be used in Arc table similar to tone corpse or for example shadows and highlights module with a goal to be able to influence different brightness ranges of the photo individually so practically to apply that old from the analog photography known technique dodging and burning and itamp;#39;s based on sound system from Anselm Adams a quite famous American photographer known for his nice black and white landscape photos and the idea behind that is to separate your dynamic range of the scene into nine or ten different brightness

A predominance of upper partials is frequently described as a bright sound; a sound which does not emphasize the upper partials is often described as a dark sound.
Reeds and Mouthpieces affect clarinet tone quality and pitch more that the instrument itself. Too soft or worn out reeds create flat pitch and eliminate focus. Too hard reeds create sharp pitch and a covered sound. Improper reed strength for a mouthpiece can create flat pitch, sharp pitch, a covered or unfocused sound.
The short answer is that the reed is not smacking down onto the mouthpiece lip long enough. This could be because its too hard, or your mouthpiece is too open (or both).
By overplaying the reed, I used the term killing, you are wearing it out too fast and therefore probably getting a breathy or airy sound intermittantly until you put a new reed on the mouthpiece. Always strive for a clear sound. Overplaying clarinet reeds can create airy, breathy or scrambled eggs sizziling sounds.
Now that you understand that, the rest is simple: a Dark sound is simply lower volumes of the upper partials in relation to the lower partials and fundamental. A Pingy sound is one that has a lot of mid-range partials in relation to the upper and lower partials.
Narrowing the reed will brighten it somewhat. Applying pressure on the mouthpiece with the upper lip will darken the sound.
If the reed size is too big and the reed is too hard, it can make the sound appear to be more air and less music. Do you have some size 1.5 or maybe size 2 reeds ? Similar to 1 above, the mouthpiece itself can have the same effect. A large bore mouthpiece can also produce an airy or breathy sound.
