To turn on Dark mode in the Word canvas, select File Account Office Theme Black. 2. Once the black theme is set, you can toggle between the black and white page background colors by selecting View Switch Modes from the ribbon.
Go to File Account Office Theme. Open the drop-down menu and select Black. Alternatively, you can select Use system setting, which will automatically switch your Office theme based on your Windows theme.
Select the word or paragraph that you want to apply shading to. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Shading. Under Theme Colors, click the color that you want to use to shade your selection.
Change the text color: Open Word and select the text you wish to be a heading. With your text selected, expand the Font Color button in the home ribbon. Click on the More colors button (From home: Alt, H, FC, M). In the Colors dialogue box, click on the Custom tab.
Go to the app preferences (For example, in Word, select Word Preferences). Select the General tab. Under Personalize, select Turn off Dark Mode. Note that this setting only affects the current app, so if you want it turned off in WordandExcel, for example, youll need to repeat these steps in each of those apps.
