Select the word or paragraph that you want to apply shading to. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Shading. Under Theme Colors, click the color that you want to use to shade your selection.
Disable Dark Mode in Microsoft Word Open Microsoft Word, and navigate to the File tab. Then, go to Account in the bottom-left corner. On the next screen, click the dropdown box under the Office Theme header. Youll now see five different options: White, Colorful, Dark Gray, Black, and Use system setting.
Increase Print Density For Windows Navigate to Settings Printers and scanners Devices in the left-hand menu. Choose your printer from the list of options and click Manage. A dialog box will pop up. Switch to Device Settings, and increase the print density from 1-5 as you wish to darken the text.
