hi how you doing today in this tutorial Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to darken a background using Photoshop and Lightroom so Iamp;#39;m going to reset this bring it back to the start and walk you through the process so Iamp;#39;m going to open this up in Photoshop so Iamp;#39;m going to right click and select editing and then docHub Photoshop and then from here I am going to select the object selection tool so Iamp;#39;m going to click on that itamp;#39;s the top one there and itamp;#39;s finding the object you can see itamp;#39;s whirling up here finding the object so itamp;#39;s doing everything for us so Iamp;#39;m just going to click on the horse I want itamp;#39;s going to select that horse and then Iamp;#39;m going to select and mask and then Iamp;#39;m going to select refine hair and what this is going to do is obviously refine the hair you can see that itamp;#39;s done really really good job of just bringing all the detail out of where these hairs are here now

Areas of the image are darkened by the Burn tool. The Burn tool makes an area darker the more times you paint over it. Click and hold the symbol for the active Dash, Burn, and Sponge retouching tool from the toolbar.
Create a new layer. Pick a paint brush with a nice soft edge. Set your brush colour to black. Paint away the areas you want black.
Burning: a darkroom technique. To burn-in a print, the print is first given normal exposure. Next, extra exposure is given to the area or areas that need to be darkened.
Areas of the image are darkened by the Burn tool. The Burn tool makes an area darker the more times you paint over it.
Burn and Dodge tool To use these tools, simply select the tool you want to use, then set the brush you want to use and the range (Midtones, Shadows or Highlights) from the options bar. You can also change the exposure of the tool. Once youve set these, you simply brush over the area you want to lighten or darken.
In Photos, tap a photo or video thumbnail to view it in full screen. Tap Edit, then swipe left under the photo to view the effects you can edit such as Exposure, Brilliance, Highlights, and Shadows. Tap the effect you want to edit, then drag the slider to make precise adjustments.
