so uh very excited to be here and amazing uh talks uh whoever followed the previous uh lectures i think will uh it will fit nicely into this one so iamp;#39;m sure youamp;#39;ll see the relevance um and uh i would like to talk to you about uh a very interesting situation imagine waking up one morning to find out that your beloved open source database or any other library or tool at the heart of your system suddenly changes its license at my company we faced that twice over the past year alone uh it was a painful and uh insightful experience and that drove me uh to uh suggest this talk topic uh i called it uh when your open source turns to the dark side so um iamp;#39;ll go over our story uh with elasticsearch relicensing and then iamp;#39;ll zoom out into several different case studies from the past year or so of open source turning to the dark side going non-open source going copy left going rogue different case studies and and then iamp;#39;ll talk about learnings both for uh us
