Use the Brush tool to paint adjustments wherever you want them in a photo. With a photo selected, click the Brush tool in the column on the right. There are three basic ways to darken images: through brightness, contrast, or saturation. Brightness refers to the presence of light; turning it down reduces the light to darken image. This is a good easy fix for overexposed (i.e., over bright) images.
Set your cameras ISO to a low level, from 100 to 125. This decreases the cameras sensitivity to light, which will darken your photos background and remove unwanted texture. Adjust your shutter speed to compensate for these changes.
To make local corrections in Lightroom Classic, you can apply color and tonal adjustments using the Adjustment Brush tool and the Graduated Filter tool. The Adjustment Brush tool lets you selectively apply Exposure, Clarity, Brightness, and other adjustments to photos by painting them onto the photo.
Select the Radial Gradient tool and drag it over the models face. Drag the blue pin to position it, and then drag the white circles to resize the editing area. By default, your edits will affect the area outside the oval. Click Invert to have your edits affect the area inside the oval.
Use the Highlights slider to lighten or darken the light tones. The Shadows slider controls the medium to dark tones. Shift the Shadows slider to the right to recover detail in darker areas.
Radial selective adjustment: Select the circle shaped option from the side menu (seen below in blue) Touch it onto the area you wish to edit and you will see different adjustment points. Using your finger to swipe the blue circle will move the centre of the adjustment to precisely where you want it to be.
