Instead, simply use Photoshops levels feature to darken existing lines. Start Photoshop and open the document with the line you wish to darken. Click the Magic Wand tool on the Tools pane. Click the Image menu and select Adjustments. Click Levels from the fly-out menu.
Slide the small white triangle under the Output Levels section to the left. Note as you drag, the line becomes darker. When you are satisfied, click OK to close the Levels window and return to your darker line.
Select Accessibility in the Categories section. Check the box next to Replace Document Colors. Select a darker color combination from the drop-down menu next to High Contrast Color Combinations or go to Custom Color and pick a darker color for the Page Background and Document Text. When done, click OK.
Overcome your fear of drawing dark. Use a black color pencil to draw the deepest darks. Tone down the half-tones and brighten the highlights to make darker sections of your drawing appear even darker. Gradually build up the values by layering graphite on paper. Draw with a softer pencil grade like a 2B or 4B.
Click Edit in the right panel and open the Color Grading drop-down. Use the color wheels for Shadows, Midtones, and Highlights to adjust the colors in your image. Adjust the Blending and Balance sliders to blend and balance the influence among Shadows, Midtones, and Highlights.
Click the part of the PDF you want to darken. Edit the object with Photoshop, GIMP or another image editing tool that has options to adjust the contrast or change the brightness. To get there, go to Tools Content Editing Edit Text and Images and right-click on the page to edit in with your image editor.
To make the line thinner or thicker, select the line and click the icon with four lines on the right side of the comment pane. Now you can adjust the thickness of the line. Save your work once youre done.
